august thirteenth, 1963 janet gabler gave me a kiss my first i passed out but she caught me looking at her sister emily in september the leaves were cold on my face buried suffocating in indecision and regret i never looked at another until rachel caught my eye

october sixth, 1967 hippie they shouted at me, but i wasn't about to let them denigrate me i'm no hippie i'm not hip hip is a body part i was nothing like a hip more of a pelvis or a femur i'm a dreamer pictures tell a thousand words and rachel was one hippie

june tenth, 1968 plaster of paris plastered maybe but that's for craftsmen i dodged the draftsmen and i'm a dancer dancing in circles around rachel's body the time she screamed we laughed we cried but only tears of happiness because i was 4F

March third, 1975 she smiled but not for me i was gone smashed but breathing wasted she met sam rachel and sam i never knew hurt until then rachel and sam hurt pain from clenching my jaw crying in the dark i passed out but you didn't catch me
